MTH Networks has always prided itself on its dependable and consistent customer service. With our recent merger with MS3 Networks, we have taken this commitment to the next level by expanding our support to local communities. We strongly believe in the importance of giving back to the communities that support us, and we are ecstatic to have the chance to do so. By sponsoring The Kingswood Vikings, a local youth football team, we have been able to make a real difference in the lives of young people in our community. We are excited to continue this work and to play a positive role in the growth and development of the communities we serve.
MTH has manifested itself in supporting and sponsoring the local under 10’s football team, the Kingswood Vikings. The recently established team is rapidly growing. The team compromises of twelve boys and two coaches who enthusiastically kicked off their first season on February 25, 2024!
Moreover, the incredible coaches Emma and Rob deserve all the credit for making the team a reality. Their tireless commitment to supporting the Vikings and creating a platform for young boys to grow and enhance their talents and interests has been nothing short of amazing. Emma and Rob have formed a hardworking team of boys committed to the sport and built a sense of community and camaraderie, which may have never existed without their efforts. MTH Networks takes pride in sponsoring the Kingswood Vikings because our morals align closely – the sky is the limit when it comes to creating a community which values support, reliability, and consistency.
Emma offered us this statement that we believe speaks to the crux of the importance of starting the Vikings and how the sponsorship has helped the youth and local community:
“When I started the team, I knew it would be hard to get a sponsor, but I never imagined it would be as hard as it was. At the time, I had ten boys which is now twelve, excited to be in a football team but no kit, so they didn’t really feel like a real team. I had emailed and contacted over 30 companies in Hull including our Mayor and Council. I felt like I was failing the boys. Then Steve Curtis replied to me, and suddenly, our team was complete. Seeing the looks on the boy’s faces when I told them we had been sponsored and explaining what this meant was just the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. It makes them united; when they all turn up to training in the same smart gear, they look like proper little footballers as opposed to just having a kickabout with their friends. The match day kits, they are SO excited to wear; they aren’t allowed their names on them, but they all chose their numbers on the back. It has brought 12 boys, all from different schools, together; we are a family now. There are no spaces in any football teams in Hull, this is why I started the team, but without MTH Networks giving us this opportunity, we would be a team that couldn’t play games because we’d have no match day kit. When the boys went to training, they wouldn’t take it as seriously as they do because it wouldn’t feel like a proper team, like the ones they look up to. Now we have the kits we can represent the club properly, with the right image, and the sky is the limit!”

The Technical Director of MTH Networks, Steve Curtis also made a statement on MTH Networks’ motivation to support the Vikings and why that support is so important:
“I think it’s vital that we support our customers and their communities because fundamentally, our customers support us, and it seems only right that we strive to assist our customers’ communities in any way we can. Having joined MS3 Networks, we felt it would be a great opportunity to show our commitment to assisting growth within communities, not just the fibre industry. Our sponsorships allow MTH Networks to give back to the community that continues to support us and allow young people to follow their passions and build soft skills that they can carry into the future. I hope the team can achieve their goals whilst having fun throughout the process, with consistent support and encouragement from the team at MTH Networks and their dedicated mentors.”
Steve Curtis, Technical Director at MTH Networks
These statements demonstrate the importance of mutual support between customers and businesses in society. Such support fosters a sense of community and camaraderie, as well as a belief in the possibility of achieving anything. This is especially crucial for young people, as it helps them develop a positive outlook on life and sets them up for a successful future.
